You will find some links about FR (Family Rotary) machines in this thread - World Rotary Restoration

The White Rotary machines from this era (possibly 1920s) use top clamp presser feet. I am pretty sure the hand wheel rotates the opposite direction from the Singer machine.

Information for loading the bobbin can be found at
Directions for loading a White rotary bobbin (White Family Rotary, etc.)

jennieb,
Can you possibly post a picture of your machine?

Thank you both for your responses. I do have pictures, but just don't know how to post. I will try and find directions for doing that.

I have looked around the site and I do not see a box with a tree, etc. Help.

Right above the reply box is a tool bar, the third icon from the right is a box with a wee tiny tree in it. Tap that and follow the prompts.

So very sorry. Just not seeing it. I see 'reply to thread' and 'reply with quote', and 'quick reply', but no icons. I'll keep searching.

There are a couple of threads that have a screen shot with arrows pointing to what you need to look for.
Which would you choose?

In addition to Steve's great instructions you will probably want to resize your picture and "save as" with a different name so you can have both pictures and know which picture you can post. I have an old camera and so my pictures start out smaller than most of the cameras in use now. I reduce a lot of mine by percentage as that is easiest for me, although there are other methods and the "help" section of this board also has many posts about resizing photos to post as evidenced by https://www.google.com/search?q=+res...ges&gws_rd=ssl

I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager on my Windows 8.1 laptop. One of the options to "Edit Pictures" is Resize. I use "Percentage of original." Then "Save As" with a different name. Then do not save "original changes" (option when close program) so still have original size.

Jennie, Look at the box you are typing your reply in. At the top of the box you will see some big As a B I U Font Size another A smiley face. Then a long rectangle. The third square has a tiny tree in it. That is the one you want.
