I too have a White 970 as well, and would love to get a manual.

White manuals are on the Singer manual site. You can get this free : http://www.singerco.com/accessories/...manuals/search Just type in 970 in the search box. It's the second one on the page. Love my White machines!

Hi Kathy,

Thank you for offering a copy of your White 970 instructions/manual.
Can you also help me with a copy? I'd be most grateful.

Thank you kindly,
MM

Mine came with a manual, which I'd be happy to share with you if you don't have one (just shoot me an email).
Also, there's a video on YouTube of a woman demonstrating the features of the 970 (link is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_M0ER...rW9QwJn9Rb_NlA).
Hope you enjoy your machine!

That looks like a really neat machine. Since it was your mom's, I'm sure it's special to you.

If you read the posts two people have said that the Singer website has them. Singer updated the website this summer and I don't know if they've put the White manuals back up or not but if you email them they will send you the manuals.

Yes, they still have White manuals (at least some). I just put numbers in - withOUT letters. The link above will take you to https://www.singer.com/support

When you enter 970 there are two pdfs for White sewing machines that come up. One is vintage https://www.singer.com/sites/default...6%2C-970-x.pdf
and the other white plastic.

Chloe Cat, do you have any of the attachments that came with the 763? https://www.singer.com/sites/default...hite-763-x.pdf We like pictures.
