Willcox & Gibbs Sewing Machine for sale
DH and I went thrift shopping yesterday looking for a specific item. Ran into a Willcox & Gibbs sewing machine for sale. Anyone over the age of 60 was stopping to look at it, probably got sold by now. I took pictures but they are on my IPhone so I have to wait till DH stops cutting grass and tells me where he hid the cord to link it to the computer. We could not see where the bobbin fits in, there wasn't any as far as we could see. It was dandy looking machine though.

The price was $19.99 and it was seniors discount day so if I had bought it, it would have cost me $14.00. I know I am still kicking my butt about not buying it, but honestly, I have no use for any more machines. I still want the Red Eye for sale in St. Louis and I am fighting that urge. This machine was really sharp, all us old people were looking at it, but no-one would buy it. I don't know if they still have it or not, but it was at a Saver's store in Fairview Heights, IL. It's not as heavy as some of the old Singers either.

totally worth it!! Those machines were made for almost 100 years. The design was really accepted by the industrila folks for hat stitching. The chain stitch they make is a"locked" chainstitch, i.e. it does not unravel easily.
id, pay you that + shipping for it... just to have a parts machine.
