I see some of the photos over with the instructions so thought I'd pop the link in here so none get missed. http://www.quiltingboard.com/blocks-...n-t233747.html

Oh my, this was tricky. All those itsy-bitsy pieces. I actually hated what I made so I talked myself into making another one. It turned out about 1/2" bigger than it is supposed to be, so I tried to fudge some seams. That didn't work very well. All those crazy points. Consequently, I'm still not happy with this, although I don't know if I can bear to make another one.

rural... great block. Remember we'll be putting these blocks into our own quilts so when we put them all together there's some fudge factor in them..... maybe you have a month that's a little shy of the 12½" and that'll even it out

Jenniky your block is beautiful. The colors really work with this pattern!

I made a substitute block, and haven't been sewing much all month. I'm feeling better today and went for the Bachelor's Puzzle block pattern I found at Quilter's Cache.

Looking at it posted (from a distance) the four squares are what really sticks out to me. I don't like that. Hopefully, it will blend in better with the other blocks.

Cas, very pretty .... and those squares are a pretty colour so just make sure to put some more of it in next month or in your border and it will be stunning!

Thanks Thimblebug and Djmat! I do have some of the purple in my other blocks. I purchased all the fabric at Joanne's. Most of it is batik. I think I will maybe make some type of striped bias from all the leftover fabric for a border or sashing to pull it all together.

Rural I like your block, I like the way the beige sort of solid looking fabric offsets the prints. I am going to have the same issue with over-size and under-size blocks and will probably lose some points too.
