It's a beautiful block Sulabug. Probably won't get to it until end of the month. Thanks for another awesome choice.

Yikes..... very pretty.... They provide a template but it says it is for the center square and is 3 " wonder if it's necessary to print it out.... guess I'll find out later

Not necessary. You can cut a 3 1/2" square with a ruler.
Blessed are the quilters, for they are the piecemakers.

Has anyone started to stitch the triangles onto the center square yet? It says it's a 3 " square, but mine has come out larger with the triangles added. I just printed out the template & it has come out quite a bit smaller....hmmm...will check back in the morning, won't chop mine down just yet.

Ooooh, pretty! May just have to give that one a go, if I can get through my Christmas UFOs, first. All those tiny pieces, though . . . . I may have to cheat and make it into a 24", instead of a 12". Just thinking about all those tiny pieces, is making my eyes hurt.

I used half square triangles in the center...the center comes out to 4 when the block is finished...I like half square triangles because it is easier for me to get the correct size...did the flying geese portion in 1/2 squares also

I've been sewing on this block for 3 1/2 hours and I'm still not done. Sulabug these little squares are a big pain in the you know what but I am going to finish it. Can't tell you it would be on my list to sew again though......Okay I'll gripe but thanks for the challenge! When I finally get it done I'll post a pic

Well it's sewn but I lost my points in the middle.....may have to do it again, we'll see. Need to wait awhile to do that but probably will before I put this quilt together, just need a little rest from those little 1/2 sqs .anyway here is my mess ladies.

Never mind I found it in the instructions... Press seam allowances towards the darker fabric. Trim these back to measure 1-1/2" if needed. Amazing what you find when you are not speed reading the instructions.. LOL
    Have an awesome day!

Amen! And if we would just reread before we ask someone, but I never do, it's so easy to ask! Lol then we end up answering our own question! Now, we can laugh at ourselves and others can too as laughing is infectious and healthy for us" we should laugh every day!

Pretty block, looks challenging, but that was the theme this year, right? I should dig out my Angler and see if it is helpful. I think I tried it once before and roughly 1/4th of my squares turned out the right size. I think I decided to just do them the regular way.
