ND, your quilt is beautiful, exquisite actually! Thank you for sharing. What thread did you use for your embroidery? And is your embroidery done by hand or machine? :-D LindaAnn

Here is a fabric that I am so in love with due to the richness of its color. It is one of the fabrics I purchased while on a road trip to Oregon recently. My DH insisted we find a fabric shop and encouraged me to find something that I liked.

I am 'considering' (can't make up my mind since we have many months to do that, lol) using it to base my other fabric choices from. Even though DH is red/green color blind, he sees it in brilliant shades of blue. We have been married for six years now so I am sorta getting used to visualizing in my mind's eye how the world looks to him in his colors. It used to boggle my mind but now, either my mind has gotten more twisted, or I can sorta see it his way. That is why I like him to be with me when I am picking colors for us.

Linda Ann, I LOVE your fabric, I actually want some, does the selvedge say anything? It'll go wonderfully with a print I have...and it'll make one brilliant quilt for you, are you still considering using black for your background?

What a beautiful fabric.I like to buy fabric in new quilt shops whenever we travel. When we go to Myrtle Beach I always come home with beach or alligator fabric.

Double wow - Linda Ann, I love that zingy fabric - and isn't it odd that DH sees that as a blue!
And ND - thank you for posting the link so we could have a peek at your quilt - something for everyone else to aim for.

ND, please can we know your name? We promise not to tell the whole world, but it is nice to be able to refer to you as something other than initials.

I used DMC gold embroidery thread by hand. I hated how splitty it is so I only did a running stitch. A stem stitch just did not work for me. I 'm not rally sure that the metallic will hold up to heavy wear, but I rotate quilts frequently, so it will not be abused.
