Linda that sounds like so much fun. I have lots of panels that I have no clue what to add to them. Also just a heads up to everyone. I am starting a REPEAT BOOM in January. I have not other idea what to call this. Anyways Patrice suggested I start out with only 12 people so we will see how many sign up. If I get a lot then I will go that way too.
How it will work is sort of like the boomarang except you pick the pattern from the cache sight. Then you send the material of the main color you want. Then your partners make your square and send it back. I think that is will be posted over on the members swap site.

Your boom sounds interesting but honestly it might be majorly hard for those who say can only do blocks with a one rating you know? and what if they are given a 3 rating block to make? you end up with blocks poorly done not by choice but by ability alone. Hope it works out for you girl that is going to be tough.

I wrote Patricej today to ask for permission to do this Medallion style round robin. I hope to hear from her in the next few days and get my posting up. A miniature? omg you love working with small pieces!! no no not me! I am going to work it as follows. One center 12.5 to 24.5 inches. I will post two options with directions but by no means do you have to follow my directions on that you can pick any center you like its simply that some like to just go with what is suggested as well tis easier than sitting and struggling over which pattern to make. Each month we will get two rounds to chose from so if your newer to quilting well it will be easy enough to follow and one round that is a bit harder to do, maybe more pieces, more matching points? but well challenging and I think it will be wonderful to see what everyone puts together, different fabrics, different colors, different rounds we will all end up with our own beautiful creations AND be better at new borders, diversity of designs and who wouldn't want that? I think if your good with scrappy you could really use up a lot of different pieces.. maybe controlled scrappy a bit? I will be posting soon so keep your eyes out for the listing!!!!

Elisabrat: I am doing Bonnie Hunter's Mystery but as I said before I have always wanted to do a medallion quilt so I am going to look for your thread and join in.

    Elsiabrat:

I am anxiously awaiting your first post. I have a Marine medallion and want to make a quilt for my grandson. Have been collecting fabrics; but was a little unsure which way to go. I hope this will be the answer.

I am really looking forward to Judy's next train ride. I've caught up on reading the thread and see that Elisabrat has a great idea for a RR. I'd love to join this one too. I really would like to learn about different borders. I'll be watching for the thread. Thanks for doing this one Elisabrat.

I think I want to do both. Sounds interesting , thanks. I need to finish my Christmas projects first. I need a pincushion finished by tomorrow night. I am just finishing up my guild mystery quilt. I made a quilt of valor. I made a tetris quilt for my DS. I am making a quilt for my DD and SIL that isn;t started yet. I was hoping to get a block finished by Christmas. No way the quilt will be finished.
    Can't wait!

Still waiting to hear back from Patrice.. should be soon I think if you have a center you would like to use your half way through the worst part lol ok its not the worst part picking the center is always so much fun for me.. it dictates how the rest will go I think.. and each one will speak differently to you. FIrst, pick who your planning on making the quilt for. Then decide colors and fabrics.. I am thinking of going scrappy with black myself..

Should the center be a block or a panel? Or several blocks? Approximately how big?

I could probably sew from now until I am 100 and not use it all up.
I'm in for both of these! Doing the same with my stash & DITTO on your last part!
