I have a design question before I proceed any further.
Since at present mine is on point, would it be better to (a) continue with borders until it is desired size and then deal with making it a square instead of a diamond or (b) do that now?
Not envisioning how to make it look right in either configuration so kind of at a loss. 😳

I might have to step back on this. I'm getting overwhelmed with all the measurements flying around. I'm going to go with a 12-1/2" center. So, can I assume my first border should measure 4-1/2"?

I'll see if I can find it, Vicki. I'm sure I kept a copy but will have to hunt for it

You're right, 4 1/2" unfinished

My center is 17-1/2" side to side and 24-1/2" corner to corner.

I'm currently considering squaring it up to the 24-1/2".
Just not sure how I want to do it. Once again I'm discarding ideas right and left. 😜

Have determined that I can do a 6" square of some sort with solid triangles on each side to fill in those corners.
Just not happy with any I've tried so far.

Or I might come up with some arrangement of strips for the whole large triangle area.
Again not coming up with anything I'm happy with.

When I thought I was going to do the applique center I did have the appropriate sympathy for people trying to make the center decision. Now that I am in that boat, I can't seem to make a decision. Just going to have to close my eyes and make a choice.

Here is what I have come up with - it's the All Hallow Block. It will be the 24 1/2" block - it's just laying on the cutting table right now, will sew it together after while, think I'm going to go make some Ooey Gooey Cinnamon Rolls!

I really hope I like the block a little better after I get a border on it. I'm thinking the triangle one that Jaba did the other day is the one I'll do. Hoping I understand all this..lolo Here's a pic.
