Love your fabrics mirabelle! 90 blocks, right, QE? Wonder if I have enough diversity in what I want to use, if I tag along.

Come on oksewglad, you'll be so sorry when you see our beautiful blocks and you are left out! Just think only 90 blocks rather than 111, and they are even a bigger size! We can do more fussy cutting! (I love that phrase-- LOL)

I just found out that I will be called in to grandma duty at the end of February for a couple of weeks so I decided to do a couple of blocks so I wouldn't get behind. I am determined to use as much stash/scraps as possible. I chose to paper piece "cake stand". I found some fabrics that I liked together, checked to see that I had enough because they are scraps, then proceeded to sew. Got to the very last trim before putting on the bottom right triangle, not realizing the last piece of that fabric that was just barely big enough was underneath when I trimmed, and you guessed it, I sliced it in half. Ack. So now I will improvise and have my own , unique "cake stand" sigh.

    QuiltE,
my preemie quilts are 14"x24" for the singletons and the twins are 24"x34". I only have several thousand to go. They go together quickly, the longest part is hand sewing the binding.

    Mirabelle,
Love your fabrics. They will go together so nicely.

Mirabelle, I love your little "guard dog" {{[hugs to your dog]}} and your fabric for the pony quilt. Love the colors there. What will be your neutral background?

Sounds like more may be joining us on the trail; wonderful news!!

Hi everyone, I tried to photograph my background fabric but the flash only made it a blob of white. Only a couple of weeks before we start scanning in our blocks for posting and then all will be revealed I just have the final border to attach to ufo # 2 and hopefully I can get it quilted on the weekend. Wow only one to go then and I will feel all caught up (at least for a few days anyway)

I've ordered the book. Boy do I hope I get it in time. I've ordered 1 set of fat quarters from Keepsake quilting. I hope that I can match the rest from my stash. I'm really afraid that I won't get the book in time. I am planning on going to a retreat in March so if I get behind I can catch then. I'm really looking forward to this.

I just found out I won't be receiving the book until Dec. 29. Can't believe it will take that long. Bummer.
