The FWS Photo Page for 3rd Milestone Blocks # 51 thru #75
#33
I finally got my first 75 uploaded. Like I said, I've also been doing my blocks as a "virtual quilt." It took me a bit of fussing to get the file in a format that would get uploaded. Hope this shows up correctly. Fingers crossed!

Good for you! Your virtual quilt, does it let you move the blocks around to help you determine placement? Would be a lot easier than the old fashioned IRL way!
I'm lucky and have one huge design wall, so can have them all up and in full view. Then have some smaller portable design boards that I made with the off cuts from my big wall. So lots of space. Wish I could get better pictures inside and that's why I'd hoped to take them outside to the snow today, but with the rain and meltdown, there's no way that was even possible.
Here's hoping you'll take yours out for some air and get some pics for us to see! Pretty garage wall!! Hey ... while I was typing this, I see you posted your virtual quilt. Neat!!! And thanks for showing them to us.
OKSGlad and JanRN ... Thanks Ladies! I am enjoying getting it finished up, though I know that there's this Pony Club quilt that's going to mess with my brain! I'm wanting to start with everyone, and try to stay with the group. However, I do want to get the FWS blocks done, so I am not trying to think of both. Sashing/cornerstones etc. will be easy to do as I work on POny Club!
Good Night Y'all!

That's nice of the virtual quilt, I can move the pieces around. I haven't done that, I've just put them in the order I made them. All in all, it's much better to get the blocks up than look at them in such a small size.
I don't have a wall space big enough for a design wall. I also have the same difficulty with places to display my quilts! I told my husband that I was saving for a 72"x72" portable, free-standing design wall. It's from Cherylannsdesignwall.com. They have 4 different sizes. You can take it completely apart and put it in a carrying case. The wall is flannel, with fiberglass poles & molded fitting. Sort of like making the frame with pvc pipes and stretching the flannel taut across it.
I'm waiting till I have the money. Soon I hope!

That sounds like it'd be a great thing ... do you have the space to set it up, if you do get it? There's been pics of similar ones at times here on the Board when folks have shown their WIP.
I'm lucky that I have the wall space for a permanent one. With no one else here in my home competing for space, it makes it pretty nice! Mine is 10ftx 7-1/2ft, covered with black polar fleece. Spoiled, aren't I?

Wow! That sounds really nice! I do have floor room to set up the portable one. The living room in our house is the least used room as we have a family room. There's plenty of floor space, just no wall space. The lighting in there is good during the morning.

Convert it to your sewing room!!!!!
I have a lovely living room ... I really like it, though it's seldom used, as the family room is so much more comfy when by myself. And when I have company, unless it's a huge group, the living room just seems too huyge. I dream of it becoming the kitchen every time I ge annoyed at my teeny-tiny one. Not. Going. To. Happen!! But a girl's gotta have dreams, right?
