it's possible the different fabs of the scrappy pallette in the traditional version are confusing your eyeballs.
i assure you ... they are both exactly as they are supposed to be.

The way I wanted the traditional block was that the prints would all be the star. The way it turned out some of the prints had to be on the outside. If I would have laid it out before sewing I would have sewn it that way. It was much easier to get the correct placement with the PP

For those that are paper piecing and tired of trying to get the paper out after sewing, have any of you tried "Ricky Timms" "Poly Stable Stuff"? I have & I can say that from now on any paper piecing I do will be with it. You don't have to tear it out. It stays in and gets soft when washed. Like a very small thin batting but thinner. The paper can easily go through the printer. I simply use wash away glue along top edge of paper, press down sheet of Poly Stable Stuff and put in printer tray, print pattern. Easy enough-and the greatest thing is "NO TEARING PAPER OUT". It cost a tad more but IMO it is worth it. I'm just saying.

Well I am certainly glad to know about this. I will try it. I do so much Paper-Piecing in Carol Doak's group. I use her paper now which is really great to use and easy to tear but if I can illuminate removing...... Thanks for the info.
