jmoore.................What a lovely block you have put together for the January 2013 Whirling Star 2 BOM block!! I wouldn't worry one bit about is being a little late, as we are free to work on these at our own leisure. Now I can hardly wait to see how your February block turns out!! Good work & nice fabric's.

Well, I have one more section to complete on my block and then sew them together. However, I don't care for the way it turned out. Planning to begin again using a different placement of the main color that I want to pop. Glad I don't have a deadline and can enjoy the learning curve and process. LOL

I'm late to join, but was looking at my star quilt from 2011 and thinking how much fun it was and had to join in again this year.

i love how different the choice (s) of color affects the design. the monochromatic green is very striking in a quiet way. and the black, white, green and yellow is very bold and also striking. i may end up trying these blocks afterall. i have soooo many blocks that aren't in a quilt yet i feel guilty indulging in another one! but they sure are beautiful!

Very pretty Southern, the color placement makes it look 3-D.
