Finally! Chose my A and B fabric, then dug through the scraps for the blocks. Some of the fabric are dotted swiss and sheers. I am going to use them anyway by fusing them to light cottons using Misty Fuse. My aunt lived in Arizona for awhile so I guess she made a lot of blouses with sheer voiles and the dotted swiss. The A fabric is yellow.

Love seeing all the different blocks and hearing about all the different combos you are using.

Pretty choices, Caroline. And good use of your mom's scraps.

Yes, I know, sorry to say that even a scrappy quilt generates more scraps; they truly are never ending, aren't they? I think that is how I got into scrappy, never really cared for the look of it but all of a sudden I had a bin of scraps and made a scrappy for the charity I sew for. And I was hooked on scrappy. Here a couple of the charity scrappys I did. Now, if I have a bunch of scraps, I cut them into 4-1/2" blocks, stack them in a box and use them in this way.

Snow is drifting down onto the water and all is quiet... Other than two snoring dogs and DH snuffling and snoring due to a cold.

You wanted to see squares? I got your sqaures right over here.....

Judy love those quilts. Trippgal your fabrics look great together. Caroline, I love dots. That's why my blocks have the gray swiss dot.

Well, I finally found the bottom of the "to be cut up" pile! Whew! Now I just have the regular fabric to do, but that won't take as long, as I don't have that much leftovers! Here's my squares. The light green pokadot is the "A" fabric, the one behind it is the "B" fabric. The boxes of squares are what I cut up, plus I added to my scrap bag for another leader/ender project that I do.

It's still chilly here, calling for snow again tomorrow & Tuesday. Perfect hot cocoa weather! I just left some in the club car for ya'll.

Wow all the variety is really fun, except I find myself thinking what I have in my stash that would work for Autumn, Summer, Valentines day not even mentioning the entire bin of batiks. Badder you Valentine choices are really fun. Caroline love your summery look, so neat it is commemorative too. Judy love your Sunflower quilt. Have a lot of vanes left over, love to do something like that. This thread is really great because of the diversity. Well my Magpie tendency has kicked in yet again. Sorting through my "big" scraps I thought about a large quantity of flannel that I purchased when my daughter was a teen. Yeah never got it made, doesn't seem to work for any of the people I know now. So I started with a triangle and just worked strips around it. I know there are some truly beautiful string quilts , this is not that. This will probably be the back of a quilt, but having fun with the mindless stitching. The squares are 10 inches finished and as everyone knows not even making a dent.

Ok, Here are my squares.... I don't have a B fabric picked out yet... any suggestions? I got this charm pack and thought the designer must have been on something when they designed it.... thought I would try and salvage it on the train....... the lites on the far right are fill in from other charm pack....
