It's made by Creative Grids, & It's a Square Up & Fussy Cut Ruler. I got it at my LQS. It shows me where my blocks aren't square. It can be hard ta use for the smaller squares but for the 8.5 blocks it is perfect! It has holes at the half inch corners ta mark for cuttin' but it is hard ta git anything sharp enough ta fit in those holes & when ya do they can break off in the holes. When it shows that my blocks arn't square I block 'em, or trim 'em w/another ruler.

Glad you're feeling better and back to sewing Dublb. Love the potholders-nice & bright & cheery.

I've got more picts o' the last hotpad.
I wonder why they are in this box & I can't lable 'em?
The third one & forth one were before I washed it, & the last 2 were after I washed it. The old washrags, that I used for battin', still shrunk a li'le bit. It happens everytime, & makes it have that crinkled look.

Bev--what a great variety of blocks/pot holders! The quilting looks good too!!

Bev--your great potholders giveme an idea for a stocking stuffer for kids. I always put some silly mass produced item in their stockings--pot holders may be the ticket for 2012.

Oksewglad you sew miniatures so well, I think a cup hot pad holder would be great...in fact, I may do that....thanks, Bev, for the idea!!

Great FMQ, DublB ... did you do totally FM? or via your plastic wrap method? or draw it on the fabric?

Mug Rugs could work too, Ladies for the mass produced Christmas gifts ... recipients could choose whether they use it as a pot holder or a Mug Rug.

However, I somewhat suspect OKSGlad's would never be mass produced, but with inclusions that would be unique to the recipient! :)

QuiltE...I didn't have a M&M show and tell yesterday but I did show off pictures of my PC quilt. This month we will be making something with flying geese. Then I did stay for my BOM club and put together a block. Next month will be the last class. This is the first time I've ever used the suggested fabric so it's a little out of my usual color choices but it's going to be very nice. Then my LQS has a project supporting cancer research this month. I didn't sew a wall hanging for it but they also have a challenge of donating $1 for every yard of fabric they sell. I got the yardages etc. for the next M&M BOM and spent an hour or so selecting fabric for it. I went to the new KT line which is also not necessarily my first color choices but wanted to see how I might like a quilt with darker colors. I only had to add a couple of light fabrics so there would be good contrasts. I'll post a picture tomorrow. BTW...this BOM is also called Jamestown. Quite different than yours, Mirabelle. I also did a test drive on the Janome 7700. My instructor is selling hers and is getting the new 8900 that just came out. I like the accufeed system and it's a very good price for a machine that I know is well taken care of but cooler minds are thinking this morning and I know it's not for me at this time.

Lots of stuff going on here...love it...Dublb, I love the Potholders...I made several from the first quilt-Along and I do use them....Hot pads are a great idea too....I got called into work yesterday and brought my stamps with me to sew...Didn't have much time to choose what to bring...I sewed stamps whenever I could inbetween customers...Almost had a whoopdeedoo with a lady that wanted to return a sewing machine for the second time..didn't know how to put the bobbin in the case the first time..didn't know to put the bobbin winder in correct position the second time...hummmm...her sewing teacher of 25 yrs couldn't figure it out either....She threatened me & the Joann's manager with if she had to come back again it would be with someone who isn't so nice....What a day!!!! hope to get some quiet time & PC sewing done today...
