Thanks Mom-6 and Deb. I've always been a beige/cream background kind of girl and am trying now to use more color for backgrounds. I think I'm going to use red for the sashing and white or gold stars in the next one. I have a nice red piece I bought in Colorado at Harriet Hargrave's store 12 YEARS ago!! I remember the time frame because it was when DS#1 had just gotten his learner's permit and wanted to practice driving in the mountains! Yikes, what a trip!
Wow, hadn't thought about all that until I typed red fabric, lol. Maybe it's time for bed. :-) Understand why you bought red. lol |
Q, the yellow and purple are great.

Oh my, the colors you've been using are out of this world. Thank you for sharing the photos, it's inspiration!

This is too cool. Just read what this mystery train ride thing is all about. Love it! Am gonna give it a shot.

Clue # 2 is finished. Like the revised color wave better than the first one. I even have an idea is use those little triangles. These mysteries are great fun. Off to the club car.

My Stash Buster lap quilt is now totally finished. I used some of the leftover 2 1/2" x 4" rectangles and a few of the 2 1/2" strips to make a scrappy binding.
I used a Goodwill sheet for the backing and practiced my FMQ. Scrappy binding |
