mirabelle- Thank you for the cutting sizes... I usually am a chunker but I am making the 1st block and I used your measurements and my first section turned out perfect. Hopefully this will save some fabric as I am trying to use of some of my stash of FQ's

Jeanie, what a lovely block! All are my favorites, all that color, Wow!

Mirabelle, Thank you for the measurements. It really helped to get it set up and sewn. Not done with mine yet, its a work in progress. Started out with green, and started a second one with blue...so it will be slowly done.

QNS - Thanks for the compliment. These blocks really do take a lot of time to sew. And, I found I made a mistake now and then, so had to rip out, one I even threw away after finding the error when I was completely done with one section. It sure was a slow process for me!

Here are a few of my Blankets of Love, the group I go to retreat with are a club named Blankets of Love and they are the driving force behind this initiative here in the north. They also make quilts for Nursing Homes, children who have suffered trauma and the Ronald McDonald House which provides accommodation for families of sick children who live outside of the area.

I had 3 miscarriages and have always felt blessed that the man up above gave me my two children.

Mirabelle....what beautiful fabric from DD's stash. I see a couple of other blocks that used the background for the center "spines" which make the points float. Really beautiful. I'm not at all satisfied with my first block and will be redoing it but I want to finish quilting a baby blanket first. I've really gotten behind these past few weeks. I'm looking forward to much more eye candy these next few days!

Those are adorable, Mirabelle. You and your group are angels with a big heart to give to special places and needs.

Mirabelle--those blankets of love are very cute and I am sure much appreciated.

I too had a miscarriage...it was in the 1st trimester. Due to health issues that started shortly thereafter we didn't have any more children, but are very thankful for the three we do have.

So many have been touched by the sadness of miscarriage. I often think of our 4 Grands that are in the care of the Great Grands above. Thanks for sharing mirabelle.
