The FWS Pony Club Quilt-Along Wk 13 Clover Leaf & Captain's Wheel Photo Page
Week 13 and my Clover Leaf has not been very lucky....Captain's Wheel was a dream to do for me....It's about that time for the Block Parade!!!

Beautiful wheel! The clover looks like it will be wonderful when it stops giving you fits!
I had a horrible time with the Captains Wheel I seam ripped the intersections four times and it still stinks! I am afraid I will rip the fabric if I do it again so for now it is what it is I guess. I will finish my clover tomorrow night but for now here is my Wheel block.
Hugs

I hear you with the Clover leaf, Honchey. I did a "bit" of frog stitching on mine.

The spokes on my wheel are backwards from the one in the book because I forgot to do mirror image when I printed the pattern. Oh well. Love the horses in Honchey's and LovingIzabella's. They look so good.

Wow such beautiful blocks! Ya'll are doing great! I've picked out my fabrics & have some of my freezer paper ironed in place, but that's as far as I've gone.
3 Lovely Captian's Wheels & 1 perfect Clover Leaf. Are ya'll competing for FC Queens?
Honchey - I love those babies with their mothers! You are gonna git that Clover Leaf!
LI - That fabric makes me think of the painted desert!
Janiew - You are the first ta finish these blocks!
I do have my decoupage plate picts.

Honchey ... ooo la la for the Captain's Wheel .you couldn't have had a better fabric combo. Your Clover Leaf is going to be a match when it cooperates. Sometimes it's better to just walk away til a new day comes!
♥Iz ... I know you are disappointed ... yet I think it looks wonderful!
JanieW ... great green mix and it looks like it all came together well! Cute horsemen in the Captain's Wheel and I really like the batiks for the spokes.
DublB ... what? no patriotic plate? Those are REALLY nice!! I'm sure that the ladies at your retreat liked them and are enjoying them in their homes. Maybe you can give us some lessons on your decoupage plates during our Spring Break? These two blocks should work well for your fabrics!
Here's my two ... I dealt with the mirror image for the Clover Leaf and then totally forgot about it til I was almost done for the Captain's Wheel.... so I muttered at myself, "Does it really matter?" And answered with a big loud Nope!!

Yes, I think a few of us have lucked out on the Cowboy Santa!!! I just wish I could have worked in the Merry Christmas, but thought I needed something dark to frame it up. Maybe it will show up in a later block?
So you caught on to the partriotic plate comment, DublB?
JanieW ... I think with the block name of Clover Leaf and recent St. Paddy's day we're all thinking green for sure! I've used that dark a LOT. The light was a FQ I got recently ... I didn't realize til I went to work with it that it looks like it's dirty ... a splotchy tea stained look. In the smaller pieces it looks a little odd ... definitely as though it's stained. Though it does help it blend a little with the yellow.
Betty62 ... glad that you are enjoying the blocks. I'll echo DublB's invitation for you to join us on the trail. Think of how much more you'd enjoy them each week!
The yellow .... a better colour representation this week. Last week's had a very washed look.
