I found out about this for a neighbor who is taking care of his wife who has Alzheimers.

Basically it is a grant for the caregiver to pay someone to take care of the patient so the caregiver can have some time off. You have to apply through the local organization.

Those who are caregivers whether for alzheimers patients, or other issues, need respite help periodically. For those who are doing so, please remember this ... you can't do it "all", "all" the time!

Taking care of yourself is not being heartless or self-centred. Taking care of yourself, allows you to do a better job of caring for your loved one for a longer time.

{{{{{HUGS}}}}} to those special people who do this!
