No it isn't Carpal Tunnel, although that is painful.
Here is some info from the National Institutes of Health.

I read the info, sounds like what my GP called a synovial cyst behind my knee. Boy did that hurt!! Came up over night it seemed, couldn"t move my leg sideways and could hardly stand to walk. Had a MRI, then arthroscopic surgery. I had torn cartilage plus arthritis in that knee, but had not had much pain, just once in awhile it seemed to grab and hurt. Surgery removed all the cartalige plus scraping the bones to smooth them out. Lots of pain afterwards, and now almost constant pain in the knee. Nothing else was given as an option, surgery was done as out-patient.

I have had it before and it came back. I have just let it go away but it takes about six months. I heard chiropractic could help. Just want it gone.

Doctor said surgery was last thing he would do. Said it usually goes away.

Since it is a fluid filled sac, I wonder if a Chiropractor could help. If you have one that you trust and are comfortable with, it couldn't hurt to ask...or ask your primary care physician about that option.

Sorry you are having this trouble. Healing prayers going up for you.

You are welcome. The NIH is a great reliable source for medical info.

Try putting an ice pack on it for 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off. That may reduce the swelling and give some relief. If it becomes so painful it is hard to walk, the doctor can remove fluid from it and inject a corticosteroid to quiet it down. Otherwise, rest with the leg elevated, ice packs and tylonel or aspirin for relief from discomfort. Hope this helps!
