Default Bernina sewing machine help.

Not sure where to put this as it is not quilting related . So here goes.

I have a 440 aurora quilters edition and accidentally have cut through the lead to my foot pedal. Whislt the lead is being replaced can I use any of my other machine feet if they fit in hole?
I am at present using the on off button but doing an applique next week and need my hands all the time.

I have 2 Berninas that the foot pedals cords should work but I haven't tried to interchange them. I don't see why it wouldn't work but call your Bernina shop and ask. When the foot pedal went on my older Bernina, the shop owner just gave me a replacement from another machine.

I think that if you have a cord from another Bernina, it would work. Maybe your dealer could give you a loaner?

Couldn't your Bernina dealer go into the "sewing machine graveyard" in the back of the shop and borrow you a used controller? Maybe renting it to you till your new one comes in?

I would definitely ask why I wasn't offered a loaner cord. A Bernina dealer would have many that would fit. Another repair service maybe not. Things like this I don't forget when deciding where to spend my money.

I have a 440 and a 710 and the foot controls look the same but I'm not sure if they handle the same voltage. Call your dealer and ask them.

I've seen people borrow a foot pedal in a class at my Bernina shop when they left theirs at home. I have three Bernina's and the pedals are interchangeable.

I have a Bernina 440QE and a 730. The foot pedals are interchangable.
