Exclamation Beware! Another scam!

The scammers are still out and about! I got an email today:

from: Gen. John W. Nicholson, Jr.

about: I SINCERELY NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE!

He has millions and wants your help to transfer it! DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL....DON'T EVEN OPEN IT.

Just delete it!!!

This one is so obvious, it hardly bears posting. Yet, it does pay to remember that school is or will be out very soon and the youth of today seem to spend an inordinate amount of time posting urban legends, hoaxes, viruses, and hacks at this time of year. Suspect everything; there is NO free lunch people. Be mindful.

A while back out of curiosity I went through my spam folder and added up the money that was generously offered to me. I think I lost count around 200 million. LOL

I thank you too. I am fortunate keeping a low profile that I can't even remember when I got the last scam. But I have to keep remembering that they are out there!!

When I had my resume on two job posting sites, I received tons of messages like that. Since I've retired and closed my accounts on those sites, I don't get them any more.

Occasionally SO gets one (in English and Spanish) that he needs to pay for his recent order.

Every time you open an email from a scammer you are confirming that they have found a working email address. The best rule is to not open an email if you do not know the sender.
