Default Blizzard Warning!

I know those of us who live in Arkansas are always joking about our weather changing but...a blizzard warning! I don't think we've ever had anything like this that I can remember. It's been raining and sleeting most of the afternoon. It is supposed to turn into snow and snow throughout the night. I'm glad me and my DH are home. We spent the night with our son and his wife last night. Had a late breakfast of homemade biscuits and sausage gravy at 2 p.m. today. We were planning a trip to see DH's brother about a two hour drive from here, but with this crazy weather, looks like we'll be staying home. Our son and his wife are planning a trip to Tennessee in the morning. They may get to take their trip. It looks like they may just be getting rain.
We had a great time with family and friends last night and I'm ready now to just relax.
Hope you had a great Christmas,
Debbie

We had that last Thursday. It started raining the night before, DH & I went out for lunch and it was just beginning to sleet. By the time we finished lunch there was probably about 2" of snow on the ground. We got a total of about 6", which isn't that big of a deal here. The temps dropped and we had 45-50 mph winds. We were all glad we didn't have to go outside!

Sounds like something that we are supposed to be getting. They are saying Wednesday and into Thursday will be our storm. It's pretty normal for around here. In fact, I don't think anyone is going to mind as last year we didn't have hardly any snow and a lot of businesses are hurting because of it. No snow, no accidents, no body shop work on your car, no snowplowing etc. So out of something bad, something good will come. Hunker down and have another cup of tea.

We had heavy rain and thunderstorms last night, with tornado warnings until 8:00 pm tonight. I live in the central part of the state (MS). Forecast calls for sleet and snow in northern MS along the TN line. It's gone from hot to cold to hot here all day!!
