I received this todayBe careful before picking up trash (bottles) in your yard etc..........

watch out for this one.

1. a plastic bottle with a cap.
2. a little Drano.
3. a little water.
4. a small piece of foil.
5. Disturb it by moving it; and BOOM!!
6. No fingers left and other serious effects to your face, eyes, etc..

People are finding these bombs in mailboxes and in their yards, just waiting for you to pick it up intending to put it in the trash. But, you'll never make it!!! It takes about 30 seconds to blow after you move the thing.

See "SNOPES" below....it's true. This happened a few days ago...April 27

http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/bottlebomb.asp - what's next??

This is really sad, those who make them must think it's comical, however they are harming people and perhaps animals. Just imagine having that in your yard when you are on a tractor mowing the grass, geesh is right.
Going to post a sign for myself to walk the yard and look for such things before I mow.

Drano is an acid and can do serious harm. When I was little I used to want to be a doctor or scientist and mix different concoctions.

I mixed water and drano in a baby food jar and walked out the door next to the sink. My mother was weeding a garden area when it exploded in my hand. Somehow it missed her face. I had 3rd degree burns on my hands and arms which were very painful, but what a lesson I learned.

To think what could have happened is frightening.

Thanks for sharing!!! Especially with the end of the school year pranks some kids pull.

I wonder if it has to do with the meth problem popping up everywhere. Imagine what these people are putting into this stuuf/their bodies? You cant even buy lye to make soap anymore, because they use it to make drugs....

Thanks sooo much for posting this. We live a few doors from a gas station and the kids are always throwing their trash in our yard. When DH cuts grass, he picks up trash by the bag full. He does it for other neighbors too. Now I can warn him about this.
