    At 82yo, my grandfather uses a lathe and turns chunks of wood into some pretty wonderful stuff. He makes bowls, rolling pins, plates,.... and then sells them at the local craft shows/fairs.

    When I saw this bowl, I HAD to have it and didn't want to miss the opportunity to own something of his. He also wrote the woods he used on the bottom of the bowl. (I love his old-fashioned scrawl)

    It measure 10" across and 4" high.

    That's beautiful!! My grandfather was a carpenter and I grew up playing in sawdust outside the door to his woodworking shop. Good memories!

    every time i go to craft fairs, i look at the wood turnings. they are always beautiful!!
