I like to mix the dough in my breadmaker and then bake it myself. I love to make English Muffins and Bagels. I also make my favorite white bread recipe and then I "braid" three
strands together, let it rise, brush with an egg wash and sprinkle with seseme or poppy seeds. People are so impressed wth homemade bread. I am not baking too much in this heat. But as soon as it cools off a bit I'll be back at it!

King Arthur flour has the hands down best bread recipes on line.Love that site.Don't make a lot of bread...we'd eat every crumb :)

I use mine a lot but have to watch the humidity in the summer. I use the dough setting and make all my hot dog and hamberger buns too

This is where I buy all my ingredients to make a variety of breads as well. Nothing like fresh bread in the fall/winter months. :)

The only bread we have is what I make in the breadmaker. Allrecipies.com is my second home after here. There are a ton of recipies online to be found and what I love about that site is that you can read everyones comments about their likes/dislikes of the recipe and all the tweaks that they did to improve on it if needed.

I've also learned that AP flour makes just as nice of a loaf as the more expensive breadmachine types.

I have a couple of books on making bread and I've found lots of bread machine recipes online. Buying the pre-packaged mix, to me, is like buying a store bought loaf of bread, which would probably be cheaper, although the couple of small grocery stores that we have do have a couple of different pre-packaged mixes.

There are books too.. Look in the thrift stores.
I just bought one at the market. There where the line is. they have little cook books there..
