My sister and I made a quilt for our mother for a birthday about 6 years ago. I need to tell you we are a family of 3 "kids"..2 girls and one boy. I guess we always knew she only had one child ... our deceased brother...but we loved him, too. We made a quilt called "House Dresses" and we had so much fun making dresses we remembered her wearing, pearls, scissors in the pocket, etc. She said she loved it. Today I found out she gave it to the Goodwill. So if you are in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area and you bought a quilt of house dresses please know it was made with so much love and we hoped she would love it. Just a side note: she was a quilter and she is the one that got us started.

Sorry to hear this. The people we love can cause us pain. Hope you just let it go. Not worth having major heartache over it. It's her emotional problems that have resulted in this, nothing you did.

I know that whoever got the quilt took it because they liked it...and they will enjoy it truly.

So sorry. (((((HUGGS)))))
You and sis have the satisfaction of knowing that you made something beautiful together and someone is enjoying it now.

I'm so sorry to hear this also.
Folks just don't understand us & the quilts we make. They can't & then do things like this.

Why don't you do a GSO for people in Dallas/FtWorth and see if someone in that area might take on the challenge of trying to track it down.
