I've seen lately alot of businesses having links to Facebook, I guess for their "insider sales" or something.
Earlier this year I unsubscribed from Facebook because I rarely went there and my SIL said it wasn't really secure enough or something.
Now I'm torn.
I'd love to be in on the Facebook sales/coupons but I'm worried about info security.
Has anyone had any problems?
Is it really worth following business links to Facebook?

I've never had any problems. I don't go on Facebook often, but I do like being a member so I can browse if I want to. So many businesses are now on Facebook.

Often when Facebook makes a change to their software, something risky happens.
Last time it was our phone numbers... all of the sudden the numbers in address books became visible where they shouldn't... You had to go back and start checking boxes to keep them private again
I think it is a matter of limiting the amount of personal info you put onto that site.

Personally, I like the Facebook links and the information I get from them. I look at Facebook every day at least once. Although there have been issues, like Amma said, it's a matter of how much information is made available. It is, after all, a public forum.

It seems to me, that as a business, Facebook would be one more way to reach an audience since your information would be visible on pages of people who had linked to you. Facebook is now more populous than most world countries.

The only problem that I have had is with going to facebook from a link in my email. The geeksquad tells me this is where I picked up a $400 virus (thats what it cost me to get rid of it). They advised me to go to facebook directly and not use any links and I haven't had any problems since then.
