Found an article dated May17, 2014 that Lillian turned 99 the week before. She now lives in a Senior home but they still sew and make the dresses. One more year for her to be 100--you go Lillian.

Thanks for the update. It is such a heartwarming story...I wish the best. From what I read she enjoys the sewing itself, so it is a win win situation.

I just googled this woman. She was 96 when this article was written in 2011. She's still sewing dresses at 99!!! What a role model!

I too took the idea from Nancy Z and started a sewing group at my church hall every Wed.--called KNOX FROX in
Knox Presbyterian Church , Bobcaygeon Ontario Canada. Since July 2011 we have made over 500 dresses but
also do boys shorts. We pay for a suitcase to go with the missionary so they get hand delivered. Have had SKYPE pics
showing clothes on kids. Only have 5 ladies usually sewing but in beginning my hubby even helped cut out the
armholes because of the used pillowcases but do use donated fabric too especially for pants.

Hope this work keeps me healthy and I can do it for the next 25 years like her.

Don't know where this lady is located as they say place/ city I don't know --too bad.

Kathleen

I wonder if the empty ice cream buckets is the key to her longevity? Ha!
