The chiro in South Carolina told me that if you are not seeing improvement by 3rd visit you will not see any from a chiro.

The very first one I went to told me I would be completely crippled with out her help inside a year! That was about 14 years ago, and I just walked in the door from working in the garden.

You, my dear, need to see someone else.

Seems like too much to me. I did try two different chiropractors when I was having back problems. The sessions always felt good, but didn't really help.

The only long-term relief I got from my back problem was when I went to a clinic that specializes in neck and back pain. They use exercise machines that isolate the muscles that need strengthening. Went twice a week for 6 or 8 weeks, and haven't had pain since!

I would suggest getting a second opinion from a different chiropractor - before your insurance runs out for the year! I don't know your situation but it sounds like a lot to me. I went through something similar and in the end it didn't help me a bit. And if I think of the other things I could have done with that money besides put his kids through college...

I and my family have done it. We thought it was alot too.
However, trips to the Dr., over the counter meds to take care of this and that, and the emotional strain of not feeling well, make it worth the chance that you just might feel better and the cost of seeing one.

Depends on what you mean by an adjuster. Do you mean that little thing they hold in their hand, touch a spot, and 'shoot' you?

When I did it, the Dr. did Kinesiology which is a totally different method. He also used the shooter thingy. His objective was to get you to a maintenenace point where all you needed was an occasional adjustment. Guess what? That's finally all I need now.

Go for it. Do what he says and you too will be amazed at the difference. Mine was very health conscience and said:," lots of water, no white flour, sugar, no diet sodas, lots of fruits and veggies, lean meats, keep the extra weigh off, and get some type of exercise and rest everyday. Walking is the best thing for you and make sure you laugh everday."

Good luck.

I've noticed when I go to a chiropractor that has an adjuster they tend to "sell" their package like that. It is the "new" marketing technique to pay for their equipment. I was office manager (temp) for a cp and that's how their health care was to be "sold".

When I go to a regular cp, a "hands-on", I've been told to come back when I feel like I need another adjustment, not usually more than once a week.

I got caught up in this a couple of years ago and ended up paying about $1,000 over the course of 3 months. I felt better while being treated, but the problem came back.

After that expensive course, I went to a regular cp, did the hands thing, felt better, but paid $100 a month.

I still have the problem and go occasionally, but cp only fixes the symptoms, (in my case)

My son in law is a chiro. It would depend on what your problem is. I do know for some problems it is important to continue to put the spine back in place several times because if it has been out for awhile the muscles will pull the spine back to the position they have been in and it takes several times to retrain them to stay where they should be.

It doesn't hurt and is a good idea to maybe get a second opinion. Just as a medical dr there are differant opinions.
When Ben does anything he always explains what the body is doing and what the procedure he uses does to fix the problem. He educates you as well as fixes you. so if your DR didn't tell you ask why so many visits and what they will do for you.

It is important as a patient to be knowledgable in all areas of your care.

I have gone to a chiropractor for 24 years, and the first one I went to, did that to me. When I went to another, I had relief on the very first adjustment from the new one.

LOL the little shooter thingy I think of it as a little pog stick! If you're talking about the tool I am familiar with. My sil is a chiro and we stayed with them when he was taking the class to learn to use it. He uses it on my wrists when the bones move in there and cause excrutiating pain!! It works so well!! I can't remember the name of it.
