Okay -- DH wants the dinner rolls he had as a kid. Remember the ones that come with plastic on the top -- half of them were white bread rolls - the other half were wheat rolls????? I haven't found them for 5 yrs we've been married!!!!! For the life of me, I don't know why they stopped making them! Anyone else notice they were missing???????

I get mine at a midwest store chain....Hy Vee. They only carry them at the holidays.

I never heard of those. I'm in the process of making home made yeast rolls. I prefer these to store bought any time.

Never heard of them either, but I really miss the homemade rolls my Grandma made for every holiday.

Now that you mention it, I do remember them. DH would slather butter and jam on them, even before dinner. DS and he would eat a whole metal pan of them between them. And still eat heartily at TG dinner. White and brown they were. The rolls, I mean.

I wish I could find them here. I love wheat, everyone else here loves the white!
