Try this app: Garden Answers. Take a picture of the plant, and the app tells you what it might be. Works very well.

too hard to see the flowers, but the leaves look a little like a gardenia leaf. And the trunk/branches looks somewhat like a gardenia too--although the color of flowers is usually a cream or white. Can you provide a close up of the flower and leaves?

I know it is not azalea or rhododendron. I have had those growing in the yard. I will check on Plumeria and desert rose. The trunk is a thick. It cannot live outside in Missouri. I don't really want to repot into a bigger pot because we have to hump this in in the fall.

Thanks for the info. I will check further and let you know what I find out.

It is a Desert Rose. I guess I do need to add some dirt to the bottom of the pot. Glad to know what it is. Thank you. I knew that trunk looked so different from anything around here. I really thank you all for the info.

It is not a plumeria - I have those. Plumeria leaves are large, long and pointed and they flower in bunches at the tip of a limb. They are the flowers used in leis. I would vote for azalea or one in that family of plants.
