I just went into my conversion software and it tells me what type to use for what machine and it is showing PEC or PES for a Brother...Try PEC next time....
Now my software allows me to change each embroidery to diff types...You might try doing a HELP and in the search "changing embroidery format"...that's how I found out I could do it...
