Ok, you warned us!
Yes, it did bring tears. As the mother of a Navy Rescue Swimmer, who originally started out to be a SEAL and the wife of a retired Naval Aviator and mother of an Army Intel Analyst this hits close to home!

Saw this this morning and I had a good cry. I was sitting with my daughter's Lab at my feet (follows me everywhere and has to lie inches from my feet) when I saw this. They are so dedicated and feel everything personally, just as we do.

I bawled like a baby! There are those that say animals don't have feelings. I watched mine mourn the loss of one of their own. Thought I would loose my 17year old cat when her sister had to be put down. We took her to the vet and had it done there. They looked for her for weeks. When my dog got ill, we tried to nurse her at home on IV drips. The rest of the critters knew what was happening. They would spend hours lying near and watching, not running thru the house like they normally did. When we came home without her, they seemed to know that she wouldn't be coming back. After a day or two they were back to more or less normal.
We still grieve for both of them
