Farmers harvesting crops yet in your areas? How time flies by!
Our neighbor is harvesting the beans behind our house. It will look different seeing the field all harvested.
He will be shelling corn in a few more weeks!

I live in town now, but the farmers should be harvesting beans, wheat, grain, and alfalfa. There is also some onions and dill. They are also picking corn and they are picking watermelons down in the canyon. I saw these at the farmers market. Potatoes and sugar beets will start soon(if they haven't already). Usually all through September and into October.

It is a lot of hard work. My late husband worked on farm when we were first married. I remember him leaving at sunrise and coming home after dark. One night during grain harvest he fell asleep at the table, his head dropped and he was snoring. That is tired!!!! I have a lot of respect for the people who work out in the fields.

I live in Southern Ontario and we are having our earliest year for harvesting in years. The winter wheat is off and right now DH is combining oats and barley. Potatoes will be next and we don't grow beans or corn. We don't usually start digging potatoes until after our local fair (3rd week of September) and will be at least 2 weeks early this year. Now I'm wondering if winter will be early too as all the crops are ahead of schedule.
