I bought a new car on Friday. We always give our old car to our son and in turn trade his car. I had to drive almost 600 miles today to get the old car. We were surprised to discover that it gets a little better gas mileage than the one we just gave him and the air conditioner works much better. We gave him a 6 year old car with 8000 miles in exchange for an 11 year old car with 190000 miles.

Go figure:) We drive very old cars that get pretty good gas mileage. We don't go much. The best car for us is one that's paid for.

People wondered why I keep my old car, but it gets 32 miles to the gallon and works very well. So what was a new one going to do for me, except I could plug in an I-pod or MP3 player. Instead I have to use my CD's. A true hardship I tell you.

Your son is very fortunate to get a car with such low mileage!

Except for the drive, you might have come out ahead :)

We didn't have time to stop, but I did locate 2 that I have not seen before. They will be on the August trip to Knoxville.
