Default Fish scales as a nail file?

Years ago I buy some fish scales for nail file. At had to be a ocean fish the scale was about 2 1/2 x 2 in. they work great and I would love to have some more. But I have never seen them ago. I get them at a little shop on vaction in Arkansas but the shop is long gone. So I'm asking if any for you know what I'm talking about and if you know where I can find them?

I Googled and found a couple of places that sell them.

maybe but I don't know, but I would think that any large fish scales would work.

No they aren't shark scales. As far as I know sharks don't have scales. They have something that looks like skin and feel like sandpaper if stroked one way and are smooth feeling if stroked the other way. These nail files are from a South American fish-a big fish.

I had one of these years ago, made from an Arapaima scale. Unfortunately I have no idea where to get them cheaply anymore. Maybe a local natural/organic store may carry them?

Default found a place to get Fish Scale nail file

Here is a link says they are $5 each with no S&H. I use to have one that I bought when I lived overseas, but when I went to a funeral in Canada it was considered illegal to have in their country so it was taken away from me. I bought 2 files today using paypal can't wait to get them ... they are the best for finger nails as well as using to keep pins sharp!

These natural nail files are made from scales of the gigantic "Paiche"/"Arapaima", fish from the waters of the Amazon Peruvian jungle.
