Dose anyone have a flea market booth? I'm think about getting one to help move some of the over run around here OUT. what should I know before getting in to something like this. the two place around me have booths from $45.00 to 85.00 one takes 10% off the top, the other none at all. One has nice peg board wells and is bigger with good uses. the other is smaller with no way to hung thing and has not been open to long but seam to have people ever time I go in and is marketing to crafty. what is the best way to mark thing? what is the best way to keep a list of thing that are in the booth with at's prices? How small is to small so it dose not walk out?

What has becoming popular around here is consignment shops. They take a percentage of the price, keep an inventory of what you have given them, collect the money for you, and give you a date to pick up the unsold items. If you don't pick them up, they give them to someplace like Goodwill. You have no overhead. You profit margin may not be as large, but it is less of a hassle than the flea market booth.

Do you have a local farmers market? Here we have 3 and they have not only locally grown produce,but they have booths with home made items. Just a thought.

I have a booth. 10% off the top. I sell all of my small items, mug rugs, table tops, lap quilts, etc. Of course, I've been cleaning out the storage building also. My DIL and I split the booth, so she also has a lot of things for young people. We pick up things at the yard sales, paint them and they sell. Lots of fun, but you want make enough to live on, just spending money.

OH!! Go with the one that has the peg board and you can hang things...maybe find someone to split the booth with you..

I love to go to flea markets, but never had a booth.

I would take the size of the booth into consideration. You can always use one of those clothing racks (collapsible) to hang some larger fabrics. The ones with shelving on top are great. I would put the least favorite fabrics (that have the most ability to grow legs)out front that you really wouldn't miss. Have you seen the totes people carry (men and women alike) at flea markets? Very deep. Just as "nivosum" states, you may want to try a consignment shop. More control.
