    I don't wear flip-flops, don't even own a pair. But, I call my daughter the 'Flip-flop Queen', she wears them all the time. The next time she comes to visit, I will make her a pair of these.

    These are really cute but won't the knots on the bottom pick up a lot of dirt.

    You could coat the knots with fray-check or clear nail polish, or some such liquid, to make them resist dirt and moisture. I use clear nail polish on the soles of the moccasions I wear for sqaure dancing and they stay much cleaner and wear much longer.
