Default Sewing with "cork fabric"

Some time ago I got the book "Nähen mit Kork" : "Sewing with Cork" to make a little review about it!It sounds very interesting, the cork fabric fells a little bit like soft leather, you can cut it, sew it, wash it...
Before I got this book I never heard of cork fabric...
This little basket is my first try with this material!

I think it's best for little baskets, for bags in any size, place mats.....
Anyone there who has also experience with this fabric?

I have never heard of cork fabric. I think your little basket is cute as can be. It does look like cork.

Wow! Thanks for posting this, how very interesting! I have no experience with cork fabric yet. I would be interested in where you were able to find the cork material. I've searched around and it sure is expensive to buy by the meter!

It is cork, real cork! It is very thin cork and it is brought on a backing material! It is not fabric looking like cork!

I've never heard of this and it's so very interesting. Your little basket is perfect - I love that look - the fabric you selected to go with the cork is so pretty.

Very neat! Have not heard of cork fabric. I hope to try working with it in the future. Your basket is great!
