1 week to Europe!!!

1 week to Europe!!!
A week from Sunday I will be leaving for Europe with my 2 college age children. We will go to France, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic and Germany. I will be spending 2 nights with a board member in France. Woohoo!!! I am getting excited - the countdown has begun!

Our oldest Granddaughter just got back from a month in Italy and the euros are not cheap. It dropped while she was there and has dropped more. For $1,000.00 you get $700.00 in euros. Take lots of money, phone calls to the States are very costly. She kept in contact with me by sending messages to me through my facebook account. Didn't cost a thing, she kept her phone on airplane mode. She bought an Italian phone to keep in contact there with the others. She was there for college. We thought our money would go further over there, not true.
Which member are you meeting up with ?

My oldest grandaughter toured last year as a member of the Michigan State Women's Basketball Team. They had a marvelous time and stayed with host families. The only scary time was being served frog legs in one home. She decided to put on her "big girl pants" and dive in.......reported that they were wonderful.
