Does any of your furry friends ever lay like mine?

My Collie, Mollie, always lies with her back legs out behind her, and sleeps on her side, with her legs going up a wall or dresser. I've never seen another dog do this.

And Blu always lays on her back after playing! lol!!!

I laugh every time I look at them doing this! lol!!!!!!!! :D

Mollie, with her feet out behind her.

Usually she's more on her back, with her legs going almost straight up the wall or dresser, etc.

    Blu, chunky belly and all.

    Thanks Loretta!
Izy, do you think they're double jointed or something? Or do you just think it's their personal preference, to lay like that? Our other two don't do it, nor has any other dog I've had/known. Sometimes I just start laughing, and Mollie knows it's something to do with her, and she'll get up and move.... lol!!!!!!!!

Silly animals! My last kitty was never, ever relaxed enough to lay on her back like that. She was so high-strung.

Never had doggies, so don't know what's 'normal'. Somtimes I think they like the coolness or warmth of whatever they're lying on.

Hi Carol, Blu's come a long ways since we got her about 4 months ago, off freecycle. She's still quick to startle, but is doing pretty good! :D

My female Golden lays like the last picture with the legs out behind her, but not all the time.

And Dugan, the Husky mix sleeps upside down on the couch, on the floor against a wall. I think there is a pic somewhere on this board of it. If I find it I will copy the link here.

I found the spot where the pic is.

My dog doesn't lay like that but my cat does. Funny thing is his name is Blue. I love it when they lay that way. Your furry friends are so cute.
