Has any one ever heard of a pattern for a plate warmer
In this very cold weather my dinner plates are very cold. My sister mentioned getting some kind of plate warmers that you microwave and it keeps the plate warm for up to an hour. Has anyone ever heard of this? Is there a pattern to make such a thing?
Thanks for any help you can offer

These both look like good ideas. But what about once you get them onto the table and are eating? When my boys were little I have a divided dish that had a resoivoir at the bottom that I could fill with hot water. It worked great and kept the food warm, even if they took a long time to eat. I always wanted to find something that would work like that for regular dinner plates. Anyone ever seen or heard of a warmer like the second link above (the rice 'easy peesy' warmer) that could stay under the plate during the meal?
Also, I'm so slow about getting projects done that I'd hate to make the easy peesy one if it's not washable.

You could try using 2 plates, one of them like a charger plate. The bottom plate could be heated a LOT warmer since your hands wouldn't touch it while you were eating. You would just need to have the bottom plate in an oven proof dinner ware, then you could heat it to 350 degrees.
