You can then gauge how long it might take to walk to the next stop of just do a short walk and return to the spot where you got off. PM me with questions.
Also: Fourth of July is going to be very crowded so get in town early. Most of all enjoy the area.
Keepsake Quilting in NH has to be one of your stops and there are great chairs outside the shop for DH :)

Just a word to the wise about Boston.........Unless things have changed since we visited, traffic is a little crazy. It's a wonderful place with lot's to see and do but it's not easy to dr
Been doing a great deal of research and talking about this 4th of July idea. Dad is ok with getting up early (5am) to take the train/subway into downtown to get to the Hatch Shell early enough to get to hear the music later. This must be a major "bucket" list thing for him as he is NOT an early riser! I'm hoping we can get a taxi when we get to the downtown station to take us to the Hatch Shell so Mom doesn't have to walk too far. Still checking on that part.

Thanks to everyone for their comments. I've put them all on a list and we're checking layout and travel spots to fit them in.!

Maine Quilt Show is July 29-31 in Augusta, Maine if you are interested. It is at the Civic Center.
The lobster roll at Red's Eats in Wiscassett is so worth the wait in line. Served plain with melted butter or mayo on the side.

We stopped at a place in Mystic CT called "Lobster in the Rough" No frills, but the lobster was fresh and the price was great.

Finally managed to arrive at the conference in Connecticut. Major traffic problems in Ohio and again in PA. Plus an ER visit at a hospital in Wadsworth OH. Spent the day today touring in Hartford CT and a dinner cruise on the CT river. Tomorrow, maybe Bristol Ct. Then the final conference dinner at a family farm nearby. Thursday we head out on our own up to VT, NH and ME. Weather is gorgeous!

Oh my goodness, an ER visit??? I hope all is okay. Glad you made it safely. Traffic in PA is always horrible in the summer. My DH says that the state flower of PA is a traffic cone. LOL

Left Ct for VT this morning. Dad was in charge of the map so we were taking quite a few back roads! Made it to Quechee Gorge, Cabot Cheese and headed to Barre GRanite tomorrow. The afternoon we're headed to Center Harbor NH. I think there is a quilt shop there !!!!!!!

Of course you will stop at the LIBERTY BELL. And Betsy Ross house around the corner. They are right off of 95 and, of course they are FREE.

Welcome to Philadelphia! On your way back to 95 get a cheesesteak at GINO's.

    Quilter68
The whole thing including the cheesesteaks will take about an hour.
