home made iron cleaner

Thanks to all of you that sent me such useful helps for my Kindle.
Now, I would guess that someone has a home made iron cleaner to get rid of the residue from iron the iron on fabrics

When my iron get a little yucky - sticky, I just iron an old wet towel with the hot iron and then, WITHOUT USING STEAM, glide it across wax paper.
