Just wondering: Are any of you extreme couponers? And if so, have you ever saved as much as the people on the TV show?

I've never saved as much as the people on TV. I do use coupons and do look for bargains.

I love that show..we have NOTHING like that here in Canada...we have coupons for cents off..but we never get this double value and great deals that I see on the show... I would love that...and our stores put limits on everything on sale that is a really good buy..you could never buy 50 of one thing???

I tried but I eat very healthy and found most coupons were for processed foods. I Iiked couponmom.com. My friend saves a ton of money. I found the best way to shop is to develop a month's worth of dinners calendar and just repeat every month. Go to the grocery shop with a very specific list and stick to it. Buy only what you need for the week.

I do what I call extreme couponing, but not as much as TV. I'm with some of the others, our stores here limit how many of like items, you can purchase at one time. I don't drive any longer due to disablity, so not shopping everyday.
All aside, I do have been tracking my savings and I have saved 68% so far for the year.
My couponing has allowed us to give more to our local food banks and to help some of our family and friends.

I use coupons occasionally. I don't need 150 bottles of mouth wash or 1500 packs of toothpaste. I hardly have enough storage for my fabric

That is unreal. What would you do with all that unless you donated it to a shelter.

there is so much competition between grocery stores here, that one store is accepting other stores store coupons that are printed on their weekly ads.For instance walgreens had coupons for 5dollars off Alleve.it was on sale at my storefor 14.69 for a 200 ct bottle so that made it like 9.69,then I had a manufacturer coupon that took another 2.00 off So 7.69 for a 200 ct bottle which is cheaper than the store brand.I did the same thing with Claritin, bot my daughter and I take it and it gets expensive

online orders- YES!
Before I place any order online, I google "online coupons."
I recently saved $13 after investing about 1 minute researching a coupon code. It was for 15% at fabric.com. I bought black quilting fabrics to make a quilt of my doberman in heaven.

I do not save as much as the people on TV but find it well worth the effort. I even go as far as buying coupons from Ebay. You need to be able to stand the stares that you get when you are buying 80 cups of cat food when you have 40 buy 1 get 1 free coupons. It is a great thing that I am not shy. When you are spending 10 cents per coupon including shipping from Ebay and saving 57 cents per coupon it is worth the stares.
