ohhhh...so been there done that only in the freezing rain and no one to help except 2 small children :( No one took pity on a small woman trying to change the tire. Lucky for me, My Dad taught me to change tires...but that was back when cars all had bumper jacks. LOL (really dating myself now.) I'm hoping that you won't have anymore bad times this year at all. That was a funny story. To bad it was true. I had a flat tire one time that took 9 days to change. It was a Ford Thunderbird (crappy one at that) we bought new. Had a flat tire at work. Called a gas station to change it. Could not get the lug nuts off. The tire had anti theft lug nuts. (Have you ever heard of getting your tire stolen?) Any how Ford had to tow it back to their dealership and order a special tool to remove the lug nuts. We only kept that car a year, it had all kinds of problems. Rear view mirror fell off, car wouldn't heat. Can't remember all the problems we had during our year of ownership.

Sorry about EQ5, but glad you all have transportation now. At lease you were not alone to take care of the situation!

Yep, some days, some days! Makes you say, "You're testing me aren't you, Lord?" Either that or the Bird of Paradise just flew over and it was 'bombs away'. Last big tire change I had to do all by myself on a country road, took me 45 mins sitting on the ground trying to get the lug nuts off. Remember to take the tire out before jacking up the car. I didn't do that and by the time I was done, 2 hours later, I was so dirty and on the verge of tears. Didn't help when I got home and hubby said, 'what did you do today?' Now I can look back and smile. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

Yeah well my truck was in need of new tires all around well DH works for scrap yard and got a set of tires, used of course, but still in good shape. well they have been getting low every now and then. well yesterday DH gets out to go to work and in a min comes back inside to tell me I have a flat. well i need to take kids to school and get myself to school also!! yeah it took him about 3 hrs to get it done. jack up truck, tried 3 different jacks, had to pump up spare but air compressor kept tripping off the fuse!! so finally got spare on. so needless to say in about 2 weeks I will be shelling out 1200.oo for new tires and rims!!!
