I had an idea about using insul-bright to protect credit cards - will it work?

One would want to protect there credit and debit cards from being scanned in your wallet from thieves. Such technology has existed for a few years now. You can be anywhere and someone goes by you with the right tool which you would not see and it will scan the cards in your wallet/purse if not protected to block such. I have had one of those card holders for about 2-3 years now. You can purchase such for about 6-10 dollars in most stores anymore which would be still alot cheaper than buying insulbright and making one.

I was wondering if I made a tote or wallet using insul-bright if it would protect a credit card like those metal wallets you can buy.
Here's a description for insul-bright:
Insul~Bright consists of hollow, polyester fibers needlepunched through a nonwoven substrate and through a reflective metalized poly film. The needled material is breathable and won’t break down with washing. The hollow fibers resist conduction while the reflective metalized poly film resists radiant energy. The energy, hot or cold, is reflected back to its source.
Any and all comments appreciated.

35 plus years ago when we lived overseas in a high pickpocket area, we were told to carry our purses in front of us and if we are walking with someone to walk closely and have the purse on the side next to your walking companion. Guys were told to carry their wallets in their front pockets. And sometimes no matter what you do you still get robbed. One of my roommates when I was single had money stolen by a friend. We had a party and we knew everybody there. I hid my stuff under dirty laundry. She did not she just hung her purse in her closet.

My mom bought one of the metal wallets from a "As on TV" stores after she had someone steal her credit card information. Tin foil is supposed to work, but for $10, Mom has a neat wallet and doesn't have to fuss with the foil.

My SIL travels thru airports a lot for his work and had his 2 credit cards scanned by one of those machines. Not until the charges starting coming in did he realize what had happened. We now carry the aluminum wallets. Walmart carries them.

It happens. A family member had her bank card info stolen--apparently--while she was filling her gas tank. The thief immediately drained her bank account. The bank was cooperative but it was a real and very scary hassle. And we live in a medium size town. Thieves of all stripes (pun intended) are everywhere!

About two yrs ago, they showed on the news how easy it was to get acct numbers.
They were walking down the crowded street in ny city and got a bunch of numbers.
Its a shame that someone always has to use technology for its worse.
