That brag book is wonderful, and a trip to Shipshewana is an EXPERIENCE. Yoder's store is not the only place with loads of fabric. Next time you go look around town, some of those stores have basements full of fabric. It may take you a couple of days to take it all in. Wish I lived closer to there , but can only go if I'm going to visit my Michigan relatives.

Jan, I'm with you! Fabric calls my name and follows me home.

Most of the time I don't even use a pattern. I just find something I like and figure out how to make it. Then I have to find more fabric to finish it. What a sacrifice! Lol!

I love Yoder's General Store ! I think the thing that is the best is the solid colors. I was looking for a strange color of green and they had it, no-one else did. It's a fabulous store and I always end up buying more than I need. There is also a great Bernina store next to it if anyone needs Bernina parts.

What a great idea. I think I will just have to start one of those.

Half of my stash is from there. We lived in Indy for 20 yrs and that was one of our favorite places. I never left YGS without ''enough fabric to cover the state'' But DH always paid and carried my purchases to the truck with a chuckle. He was always the first one to tell my MIL about my latest treasures.

Love this idea. Could even fold the pattern and insert it!

I downloaded full patterns on my to do list to my Kindle. Convenient, always with me and fits right in my purse.

I have pictures of my fabric I need to match with more fabric on the Kindle too.

When I travel I usually look for fabric and buy either 1 or 2 yards of what I like. If I find several that go together I get some of each. Might want to put some of my really really want to do patterns in a bag and then I would have them when I travel.

Ok but I have to ask. Yoder's General Store is not far from "Lolly's" is it? Lolly's is a huge fabric store downtown Shipshewana. Hopefully you didn't miss out on Lolly's.
Great idea Oma.
