Nights have gotten cool enough that it was time for my plants to return inside. But they've grown, and have been repotted, new ones have been started - and the house hasn't gotten any bigger. Time for some brainstorming. I put up a new rod over my slider and made a wall of 'em! What will I do next year?!? This as just a few of them.

this one will eat the house eventually

Next spring, when repotting, put tall and vining plants with similar needs in the same pot--like a trailing plant with the philodendron monstera. (Our local librarian, with a sunny library, has grown plants so large she has transplanted them into plastic totes since large pots are exorbitantly priced.)

Maybe it's time for an outside "green house". My neighbor screened in his patio for their plants. Looks nice and we live in a covenant subdivision!

Get some grow lights. Strengthen holders, or put on a new ceiling or wall board to hang them on. Start a lot of new ones and give them for Christmas, along with a mug rug to match the picture you've painted on the clay pot.

Check out Freecycle for free plant pots. Maybe an older couple or single guy or gal will want to declutter and get rid of...sorry, DONATE extras they have.
