Default Janet Evanovich - Wicked Appetite

I just read this book by Janet Evanovich. Total waste of time - and I loved - or at least liked - all 20 or so of the other books I've read written by her.

I don't think I laughed out loud once! come to think of it, not even a wan smile!

The only Evanovich books I like are the Stephanie Plum series. All of her other serieses
    leave me cold.

This one has Diesel and Wulf (Diesel's cousin) - and Lizzy, a cupcake baker, is the main female.
I liked the numbered Stephanie Plum ones better than the other ones.

A book has to capture me on the first page, or I won't read it!

A lot of my favorite authors have lost their steam over the years...Sue Grafton, Sara Paretsky. I could go on and on, but it's too discouraging.

I used to read theStephanie Plum books but I fell off the wagon on book 7 or 8, and the reviews I've read haven't coaxed me back on. I need some new authors. I like mysteries written by women!

Wasn't there an article about making a series of her Stephanie Plum character? If so, I either missed it or it never came to fruition. Inquiring minds want to know....LOL

    I totally agree with you!!!
And Nanamoms.....they made a movie but it was bland and boring IMHO. They didn't cast the characters very well ----

I think the guys would be MUCH better in my imagination than on screen.

Just saw the movie last week. What a disappointment. The men were so different in my head. My Gosh! Joe is an Italian, but he sure didn't look like one. And Ranger...need I say more. How can they mess up such a great book.

The books that are not part of Stephanie Plum series, leave me dry and I usually don't finish them.
